Let’s make winters fashionable!

Starting from the beautiful, colorful spring to the scorching summers, moving on to the soothing rains to the harbinger of the oncoming winters- autumn and finally the severe winters; each season brings with it a new flavor to life.

People look forward to the changing weather for different reasons.  Women mostly for one- Shopping!  Every season has its own color, has its own feel and hence brings with it the need to revamp the whole wardrobe.

Winters especially limit the choice of ‘party dresses’ because dressing down into short, fancy designer wears isn’t a good option unless of course your body is immune to the low temperatures and frigid weather conditions prevalent in Northern part of India.

Yes, sweaters, cardigans and over coats protect you from the cold.  But how many layers of clothing can you wear and how much money would you shell on matching sweaters?  Plus, most party goers would second that wearing garish sweaters is still a no-no!  And overcoats always look classy only in the conventional BLACK color but if you’re wearing an overcoat rest assured it will be OVER everything else you’re wearing underneath!

So how do you fix this problem?  How do you wear trendy dresses, fancy Indian suits without being cold and being stylish at the same time in winters?
Shawls!  The woolen rectangular pieces of clothing that cover the upper body parts and keep it warm.

Kashmiri pashmina shawls, woolen shawls, synthetic cotton blended woolen shawls, the choices are endless.  Available in all price ranges, colors, designs, sizes, styles these are a must have for women of all ages.

Shawls made in India especially in Kashmir are popular for the exquisite and intricate work and the fine wool used. But these are very expensive.
Designer blended woolen shawls have now emerged as an alternative to expensive pure wool shawls.

Shawls Exporters in India account for a major share of the total Shawl exports worldwide.  Shawls made in Kashmir aren’t the only ones in demand.  The list of Shawls Exporters in India is varied state-wise.  Shawls made in Ludhiana, Amritsar and Delhi have also become a rage. This should be indicative of the fact that women all across the globe have opened up to wearing shawls.  And why not! You get everything in one package- warmth, style, comfort and for those who have too much money in their pockets- the status symbol of owning a Pashmina Shawl, which in itself is something to brag about!

Next time you step out of the house in winters, wrap yourself with one of those shawls and feel the difference. Come on ladies let’s make winters fashionable!
